ISLAMABAD: Pakistan reported 1,122 new COVID-19 infections in the last 24 hours, despite a steady drop in the country’s daily case count, according to data released Friday by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC).
The new infections were discovered after the national COVID-19 body completed 41,142 diagnostic tests across the country, according to the national COVID-19 body.

Meanwhile, another 25 people died from the illness overnight, bringing the total number of coronavirus deaths in Pakistan to 30,139. However, the active case count fell to 61,332 after 2,550 coronavirus patients were recovered in the last 24 hours.
