Sher Afzal Marwat says won’t let three people ‘hijack’ PTI.

Tensions within the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have come to the fore following a heated dispute over the appointment of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chairman.

Sher Afzal Marwat, a prominent figure within the party, has made bold assertions against what he perceives as attempts to undermine his position.

In a strongly worded statement, Marwat declared his refusal to allow what he described as the “hijacking” of the party by a select few individuals.

He maintained that PTI founder Imran Khan had not deviated from his decision to appoint him as the PAC chairman.

“Imran Khan’s purported decision to name someone else for the PAC chairmanship has not been conveyed to the PTI’s political committee,” he added.

However, reports surfaced suggesting that the PTI’s political committee had endorsed Sheikh Waqas Akram for the position.

Marwat expressed his dissatisfaction, claiming that neither he nor the matter of PAC chairmanship was included in the political committee’s agenda.

He vowed to confront Imran Khan directly, labeling the situation as a “fraud” that he intended to address personally.

“I will be meeting Imran Khan tomorrow (Tuesday) to inform him about this fraud,” he said.

This conflict emerged despite earlier announcements by PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, who had stated that Imran Khan had finalized Marwat’s appointment to the PAC chairmanship, seemingly resolving internal disputes.

As Sher Afzal Marwat says won’t let three people ‘hijack’ PTI, he had even pledged to step down from the potential chairmanship if any of his party colleagues were nominated for the post.
