Federal Information Minister Fawad Hussain Chaudhry said on Tuesday that a forum for dialogue between the government and the judiciary should be created to resolve issues.
The information minister said he and the FBR chairman appeared before IHC Chief Justice Athar Minallah that day after attending a high-level meeting at the IHC.
“The meeting was held in a pleasant atmosphere. “Chairman of the Supreme Court, Athar Minallah, issued advise,” he stated.
“The IHC is now hearing cases worth Rs233 billion. He went on to say, “This is the country’s money, not any individual’s.”
“The head of the FBR deemed 13 instances to be more important. “These matters were reviewed with the chief justice and the registrar of the IHC at the meeting,” Fawad said.
“Justice Athar Minallah is one of Pakistan’s few brilliant judges,” he stated.
Fawad also hailed Athar Minallah for taking a significant step toward Pakistan’s prosperity, saying that other courts should follow the IHC’s lead.
“As a result of the FBR lawyers’ own error, revenue cases are languishing before the Islamabad High Court,” he stated.
“The proposals given during the discussion would undoubtedly help the FBR chairman,” he continued.F
