Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated the “E-Commerce Portal” on Monday and stated that the government hoped to raise IT exports to $50 billion.
He stated that the economic conditions were awful when his government took control and that he was fully aware of the poor economic conditions that the people were facing.
He said that Microsoft founder Bill Gates came to Pakistan on his request and was instrumental in the country’s polio eradication.
The prime minister also emphasized the importance of young technology promotion, saying, “Our educational system prevents brilliant youths from progressing; as a result, the government intends to build a uniformed educational system in the country.”
He said that young people all around the world were making progress in the IT field and that the government had decreased taxes for registered freelancers in the “E-Commerce Portal” to zero.
