Piñera, a Harvard-educated businessman, founded a successful credit card company, Banco, in the 1970s, amassing a substantial fortune estimated at $2.7 billion, according to Forbes.
Throughout his presidency, he fulfilled a campaign promise by divesting his assets, demonstrating his commitment to public service.
