Punjab to transform Lahore’s Lari Adda into airport-style terminal. Punjab’s Caretaker Chief Minister, Mohsin Naqvi, has announced a groundbreaking project aimed at the overhaul of Lahore’s Lorry Adda (bus stand).

The dilapidated current state of the bus stand will undergo a comprehensive transformation, evolving into a cutting-edge terminal akin to an airport, all under a substantial Rs9 billion initiative.

The proposed modern terminal is slated to be situated at the existing Badami Bagh location, promising a host of contemporary facilities including specialized bus bays, well-appointed restrooms, and spacious waiting areas.

As part of this ambitious undertaking, the government is also set to establish a sprawling multi-storey parking plaza covering an expansive 46 canals, with an estimated project cost pegged at Rs4 billion.

Underscoring the commitment to facilitating seamless public transportation, Deputy Commissioner Rafia Haider of Lahore has proactively convened a strategic meeting involving pertinent departments.

The primary objective of this collaborative effort is to formulate a robust execution strategy that ensures the seamless realization of this transformative project.

This move reflects a proactive approach by the government in addressing the pressing need for upgraded and modernized transportation hubs.
