Gigi Hadid says Israel is the “only country” keeping children as prisoners of war. Palestinian-American supermodel Gigi Hadid has found herself at the center of a social media storm following her outspoken comments on the Israel-Hamas conflict.
The 28-year-old model, known for her high-profile career, recently posted on Instagram, claiming that Israel had engaged in a history of violence against Palestinians long before the surprise attack by Hamas on October 7, which resulted in approximately 1,200 casualties.
Hadid’s now-deleted post alleged that Israel is the “only country in the world” holding children as prisoners of war and featured the case of Ahmed Almanasra.
Almanasra was arrested by Israeli police at the age of 13 after he and his brother stabbed a 20-year-old security guard and a 13-year-old boy. His original 12-year sentence was later reduced to 9.5 years.
The post also accused the “Israel occupation” of subjecting Almanasra to solitary confinement despite his “severe health condition,” and claimed that hundreds of Palestinian children are suffering in Israeli jails.
Further intensifying the controversy, Hadid reposted a video alleging that Israel harvests the organs of Palestinians. The video claimed that “health officials admitted that Israeli authorities had harvested the organs of dead Palestinians for years without their consent.”

Condemning the Israeli government is not antisemitic, and supporting Palestinians is not supporting Hamas.”
