No plan to arrest Imran Khan yet, says CM Mohsin Naqvi

Lahore, October 16: Farmers will receive rupees 8500 cotton price. Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi has said that the cotton price in Punjab had come down to rupees 6500.

We met with the Prime Minister of Pakistan a little while ago in which bringing stability in the cotton price was discussed.

CM Sindh has also taken up the task regarding cotton prices.

I have also requested the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the PM by taking its prompt notice has sought a report from the Trading Corporation of Pakistan.

It is greatly hoped that TCP will start purchasing cotton. Insha Allah cotton rate will revert back and the farmers will be awarded profit from their labour.

We request the farmers not to sell their cotton at a low price. We are trying to the utmost that the farmers receive rupees 8500 cotton price.

Farmers should make a steadfast stand and should not let the price of cotton go down.

The government is standing with them and will continue to support them.

Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi on the eve of White Cane Day was addressing a ceremony being held in the honour of Pakistan Blind Cricket team today.

CM Mohsin Naqvi awarded a cheque of rupees 10 lakh to the Pakistan Blind Cricket team Captain Nisar Ali.

CM announced to provide a cricket ground to the players of the Blind Cricket team.

CM stated that an MOU regarding a cricket ground needs to be signed between the Pakistan Blind Cricket team and the Sports department. Discussion with Secretary Sports has been held and he is ready for the MOU.

Now Pakistan Blind Cricket Council should also come forward and settle necessary matters for signing the MOU.

We will do whatever we can possibly do for the Blind Cricket team besides giving them aground. It is a matter of rejoicing that the Blind Cricket team defeated India 7 times.

I felt real happiness by coming to this ceremony of special players and it is a matter of great honour for me.

Coming to this ceremony was essential as all the citizens were disappointed over facing a defeat by India yesterday.

We take pride in those special persons who make a mark in their respective fields. Special girls Ammara and Bisma sang songs.

Chairman Pakistan Blind Cricket Council Syed Sultan Shah and Special Civil Judge Yousaf Saleem also addressed the ceremony. Provincial Minister for Information Amir Mir,  Secretary Sports and other officials were also present on the occasion.
