British-Pakistani Mahnoor Cheema makes history in GCSE exams.

A 16-year-old British-Pakistani girl set a new record by passing 34 GCSE subjects, the most ever by any student in the history of the UK and EU GCSEs.

As a private candidate in Year 10, Mahnood Cheema completed 17 subjects with A* grades. She had already passed 17 subjects the day before, bringing her total to 34.

As Mahnoor Cheema makes history in GCSE exams, the adolescent is the daughter of Barrister Usman Cheema and Tayyaba Cheema, both of Lahore, Pakistan.

They moved to the United Kingdom in 2006, and their daughter began her education at Langley Grammar School in West London after attending a private school in her hometown of Lahore.

She has already added several feathers to her cap, as her IQ has been recognized on a global scale, at 161 on the Mensa IQ Test, which is higher than Albert Einstein’s IQ, which is thought to be 160.

Mahnoor Cheema also completed ABRSM Music Theory and Practical in Grade 8, making him the youngest candidate for the music diploma.

The 16-year-old has also been named to the prestigious John Locke essay competition, with the awards ceremony taking place later this year in Oxford.
