Government trying to provide people with all basic facilities: Farrukh Habib

ISLAMABAD: State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib has stated that the government is doing all possible to improve people’s living standards by giving all basic services at their doorsteps.

On Sunday, he spoke at a function hosted by the Zaad-e-Rah Foundation at al-Fatah Sports Complex Salimi Chowk Satiana Road.

He stated that while the government is utilising all available resources to address genuine problems of the people, the country will not be prosperous and a welfare Islamic state unless non-governmental organisations and philanthropists contribute and assist the government in addressing the people’s suffering.

As a result, he argued, the wealthy and powerful should step forward to assist the poor. He claimed that Prime Minister Imran Khan was well aware of the financial difficulties faced by ordinary people. As a result, the PTI government has implemented a number of initiatives, including the Ehsaas Ration Program, Kamyab Jawan Program, and interest-free loans for young people. Despite the fact that this is a country with a population of more than 2.2 million people who require a lot of resources, the government continues to work for the welfare of the people by utilising its limited resources.

He claimed that Imran Khan was the only person who, following the death of his mother, saw his suffering as a national tragedy and founded the world’s best cancer hospital, Shaukat Khanum Cancer Hospital in Lahore.

This hospital is run with the help of well-to-do people, and 70% of patients receive the most expensive therapy for free. This service is now available in Karachi and Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, he noted.

Prime Minister Imran Khan is likely to visit Faisalabad on February 9 and begin distributing health cards to all families in the division’s four districts: Faisalabad, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, and Chiniot, according to him.
