‘I have no evidence against senior army officer,’ Imran Khan informs investigators

Dissolve assemblies in May, hold elections in July: Imran Khan

‘I have no evidence against a senior army officer,’ says Imran Khan. In his vehement statements, the former prime minister and PTI chairman made accusations against a senior intelligence official and even used derogatory language.

Khan, who has been charged in more than 100 cases since losing his position as prime minister, acknowledged that he lacked evidence to charge the senior army officer. The populist leader presented accusations against the senior army officers to a joint investigation team (JIT) on Monday.

At the Islamabad Police DIG office, where the FIR was read out and clips of the former premier making accusations against army personnel, including his assassination plot, were shown to him, investigators questioned the PTI head.

‘I have no evidence against a senior army officer,’ says PTI Chief Imran Khan.

All of the videos’ content belonged to the outspoken politician. The former PM gave a negative response when asked if claims against army officers had any supporting evidence.

When investigators questioned him about whether senior army officers had directly threatened him, he likewise gave a negative answer.
