As the Punjab government continues to tighten the noose around the May 9 attackers who stormed civil and military installations after (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s arrest, Khadijah Shah, a fervent supporter of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, has found herself in hot water. Now everyone is questioning who is Khadija Shah?
Khadijah Shah, who had been hiding out for days, has now come forward as police raided her home and detained her husband as an investigation into the strict orders of the country’s top civil-military officials continues.
However, police officials asserted that Khadija Shah was the primary perpetrator of the attack on Jinnah House. Khadija Shah allegedly fled through the back door, which was also seen on CCTV, when the police arrived.
Shah shared her account in an audio note that is making the rounds on social media after reportedly resisting a police raid. The social activist and founder of a well-known fashion company declared her readiness to give up but recently revealed her side of the story. She claimed that the police broke into her home without permission and detained his elderly father, husband, and even brother.
The PTI activist said, “The policemen even beat up my husband in front of my children,” adding that she ultimately made the decision not to let her family suffer the consequences of what she had done.
Shah, a dual national, described the situation as alarming and stated that she is attempting to speak with the embassy to resolve matters as the crackdown got worse.

She made it clear that she is not officially a member of PTI but has continued to advocate for the cause on her own. The socialite recalled the events of May 9 and claimed that she flocked to Lahore’s Liberty Chowk to take part in a PTI demonstration against the former premier’s arrest.
At the renowned roundabout in Lahore, where party officials decided to move towards the corps commander’s home to record their protest, Shah recalled meeting PTI leader Andaleeb Abbas. When we arrived at the Lahore cantonment, the crowd accelerated even more, she continued.
“Emotions were running high, and I told people not to damage the assets as it opposed the cause under which we gathered here to record the protest, but the crowd was quite big, with fewer organizers to manage them,” she clarified.
As the audio clip progressed, she said that she never entered the Jinnah House but mentioned documenting everything. She was active on Twitter and other social media websites where she admitted to posting videos and photos of the incident, which she thinks her right under the freedom of speech.
She shared her account because she wanted everyone to understand her perspective prior to her arrest by law enforcement.
Khadija Shah was reportedly given shelter by a man by the name of Umar Sheikh as police kept an eye out for those connected to the May 9 attacks.
