Dubai number plate ‘P 7’ sells for a massive $15mn. Exotic license plates and high-end automobiles are both considered collectibles. In the past, we’ve heard stories from Dubai about car owners buying license plates for ten times the price of their vehicles.
During an auction for VIP numbers held in the city of gold, a man paid 55 million dirhams, or Rs4.21 billion, for the “P 7” license plate.
The incident occurred during the auction for “Most Noble Numbers,” which was held at the Four Seasons Resort Dubai.
To support the “1 Billion Meals Endowment” effort, the whole proceeds from this auction will be donated to the biggest Ramadan sustainable food relief endowment fund.
Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice president, prime minister of the United Arab Emirates, and ruler of Dubai, founded the fund.
