Police enter Imran Khan’s residence. Following the retreat of PTI workers from Zaman Park on Tuesday, Punjab and Islamabad police entered the residence of the former prime minister Imran Khan.
PTI members and police earlier got into a fight outside Imran Khan’s home in Zaman Park, Lahore.
As the police approached Imran Khan’s home on foot, PTI members threw stones. After using water cannons, tear gas, and baton charges to disperse the crowd, the police detained dozens of PTI workers.
After a struggle with the workers, police took control of Zaman Park’s main gate. According to sources, PTI workers’ stoning also injured DIG Islamabad Shehzad Bukhari.
According to the sources, 350 police officers have been sent to Zaman Park to deal with the law and order situation there as 400 PTI workers are gathered outside and 30 to 40 people are inside Imran Khan’s home. Likewise, the Rangers have arrived at Zaman Park.
Aleema Khan, the sister of Imran Khan, on the other hand, firmly asserted that they will not permit police to detain the PTI leader, even if he chooses to do so on his own.
Prior to that, outside the former premier’s Zaman Park home, the police served Hassan Niazi with official arrest warrants for Imran Khan.
Police and PTI employees got into a fight in Zaman Park, and warrants were issued for Imran’s arrest.
Tuesday afternoon, a large police contingent headed by DIG Operations Islamabad Syed Shahzad Nadeem Bukhari is moving towards PTI Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan’s residence at Zaman Park in Lahore.

Two of the police officers were carrying placards inscribed with directives that they were in Zaman Park to serve the arrest warrants.
The policemen reached Zaman Park from Mall Road on foot.
Meanwhile, a large number of baton-wielding PTI workers have gathered outside Imran Khan’s residence and raised slogans against the government.
