A bomb exploded in the convoy of PTI lawmaker’s son Sardar Khan Rind in the country’s southwest, killing two people as part of a series of attacks in a sparsely populated area.
According to local media reports, at least two security guards were killed and another was injured in a bomb attack on Sardar Khan Rind’s convoy in the Sunni Shoran area of Balochistan.
Sardar Khan Rind, on the other hand, was unharmed in the blast, which was carried out with a remote-controlled improvised explosive device.
Soon after the incident, law enforcement and rescue personnel rushed to the scene and transported the dead and injured to Dhadar District Headquarters Hospital.
After bomb attack on PTI lawmaker’s son in Balochistan’s Kachhi, Law enforcement officials launched a search operation in the area to apprehend the attackers who detonated the explosives, despite the fact that no terror group claimed responsibility for the attack.
The PTI MPA corroborated the police officer’s statement, saying: “There has been a blast [targeting] my elder son Sardar Khan Rind’s convoy. He is safe, although others in convoy have been martyred and injured,” he said.
Dhadar Assistant Commissioner Fahad Shah Rashdi confirmed that the convoy was targeted in the Sunni Shoran area.
“Two bodyguards were killed and one was injured in the IED blast while Sardar Khan Rind was unharmed in the blast,” he said, adding that the dead and the injured were moved to District Headquarters Hospital Dhadar.
Meanwhile, Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo condemned the terror attack and expressed his condolences for the deaths of two security guards.
He called Sardar Khan Rind and denounced the bomb attack on his convoy.
