The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has authorised a 25% crowd attendance requirement for the HBL Pakistan Super League 2022 Karachi leg matches, which will take place at the National Stadium from January 27 to February 7.
As a result of the decision, around 8,000 fans will be permitted to enter the stadium on match days. Spectators’ admittance, however, will be subject to strict Covid-19 protocols in order to safeguard their health and safety, as well as those of others attending the matches:
- Vaccination is required for anyone over the age of 12 years.
- At the time of entry to the stadium, valid immunisation certificates must be presented.
- Masks must be worn at all times within the venue.
- Those who break the NCOC rules risk being expelled from the stadium.
“We now expect to set the stage with 25% fans attending the Karachi matches of the HBL PSL 2022,” said PCB Chief Operating Officer and HBL PSL Tournament Director Salman Naseer.
“As a responsible organisation, we are well aware of our responsibilities in terms of fan health and safety and will follow the NCOC standards to the letter.”
“However, we will need the spectators’ total and unconditional support so that they and others can continue to enjoy the game in a safe and secure environment.” They can achieve this by simply following the instructions.”
The NCOC will make a judgement closer to the time for the Lahore-leg matches, which will take place in Gaddafi from February 10 to 27.
