NA 193 Rajanpur: Leghari of PTI takes lead in By-Election

The counting of votes has been started in the National Assembly’s constituency NA-198 Rajanpur and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Mohsin Leghari has taken a lead in initially receiving unofficial results from 105 polling stations.

Leghari of PTI bagged the leading 37,532 votes against the Nawaz League’s Ammar Ahmad Khan Leghari who just received 21,092 votes.

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) candidate Akhtar Hussain Gorchani obtained 7,948 votes and Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) candidate Mehmood Khan got only 2,034 votes.

After ending the polling time for the by-election in National Assembly Constituency NA-193 Rajanpur, the counting of votes has been started.

As many as 237 polling stations have been set up for voting in the constituency by the Election Commission of Pakistan.

The number of registered voters in the constituency is 3,79,204 with male voters  2,06,495 while the number of female voters is 1,72,709.

In the election, there is competition between 11 candidates including PML-N’s Ammar Awais Leghari, PPP’s Akhtar Hasan Gorchani, and PTI’s Mohsin Leghari.

Sensitive polling stations are being monitored by the ECP and law enforcement agencies with CCTV cameras and other modern devices.

The services of police, elite forces, rangers, and the army have been called to deal with the unfortunate incident in the by-election.
