ISLAMABAD: Syed Shibli Faraz, the Federal Minister of Science and Technology, said on Tuesday that the National Electronics Technology Park (NETP) would become a key participant in the country’s economic progress.
“My ministry is moving its focus from theoretical to applied research by expanding its departments, particularly the NIE,” the minister stated during the NETP’s inaugural event today at the National Institute of Electronics (NIE).
According to Shibli, the NETP will provide a forum for researchers and students to put their expertise into practise and produce products in the field of electronics.
He also stated that the ministry was establishing a strong contact between departments and industry in order to commercialise indigenous products.
