The federal government has planned to deploy Rangers and FC in Punjab.
Federal law enforcement forces will be in charge of maintaining peace and order in the province, as well as enforcing the constitution and legislation.
The action came after the government combination of the PTI and PML-N and the Punjab Governor reached a political and constitutional impasse.
Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has instructed Chief Secretary and Punjab IG to maintain law and order, protect people’s lives and property and perform their duties according to the constitution and law.
He also warned the bureaucracy not to become a party to any act contrary to the Constitution.
