Three of the four tourists died after being discovered semi-conscious in a hotel room in Murree under strange circumstances.
Mohammad Awais, Faisal Ayaz, and Muhammad Shahrukh were confirmed dead at the hospital, while another tourist is critically injured.
All of the tourists, aged 27 to 30, were from Punjab and were staying at a hotel in the resort city’s Lower Top neighborhood, around 30 kilometers from Pakistan’s capital Islamabad.
Murree police have initiated an inquiry into the incident, and evidence is being gathered.
An officer told the journalists that postmortems and forensic evidence would aid in determining the cause of the travelers’ unexplained deaths.
