The probe’s scope into the leak of the family’s income tax returns belonging to departing Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa has been expanded.
Two deputy commissioners of the Corporate Tax Office in Lahore are among the 15 officers and officials transferred to FBR Headquarters for an investigation.
The FBR transferred Deputy Commissioners Atif Warraich and Zahoor Ahmad to Admin Pool Islamabad two days ago.
The FBR probe team in collaboration with IT experts is examining the database, the sources said, adding the team also has full cooperation from I&I Inland Revenue.
The sources said the teams are expected to question more officers and officials.
