Atleast 1 dead, several injured in Istanbul Taksim Square’s incident
Turkish media on Sunday reported that an explosion that occurred at Istanbul’s popular pedestrian Istiklal Avenue has injured several people.
There have been numerous injuries caused by an explosion in Istanbul’s famed Taxim Square. If there have been any fatalities, remains unknown.
At least 11 people were hurt in an explosion that occurred in Istanbul’s centre on Sunday, according to reports from the area.
Unverified social media videos showed numerous people lying on the ground amidst bomb devastation. Police and an ambulance arrived on the site, as shown in the video.
Users said on social media that the street was closed off when stores closed.
ISIS assaults have previously targeted the city. 39 individuals lost their lives in 2017 when shooters opened fire at the Reina nightclub in the Ortakoy neighbourhood. 41 people were killed in an ISIS attack on Istanbul’s Ataturk airport in 2016.
According to reports, an explosion on Istiklal Avenue, a pedestrian thoroughfare in Turkey’s largest city, left eleven people injured.
