Imran Khan, the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), expressed his desire for senior Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Aitzaz Ahsan to join PTI during a meeting with him.

Details indicate that the PPP leader visited PTI leader Imran Khan at his home in Zaman Park Lahore to ask about the latter’s health.

During the PTI long march, a gunman opened fire close to the PTI reception camp in Wazirabad’s Allahwala Chowk, injuring Imran Khan, PTI leaders, and workers.

According to the former prime minister, he has been requesting Aitzaz’s political party membership for 17 years.

“I am anticipating the day when Aitzaz Ahsan officially joins our political party,” he continued.

On the sidelines of the meeting, Khan also spoke with prominent journalists.

After Khan gained notoriety, three people allegedly plotted to kill him.

He added that despite being shot four times, he miraculously survived the attempted murder.

The PTI leader declared that after his injuries have healed, he will participate in the long march.

He pledged to fight until his last breath for true independence.

Aitzaz Ahsan explained to journalists that he had only come to check on Imran Khan’s health and had not requested permission from his political party to visit his neighbour.

The senior counsel stated that strict action must be taken against the station house officer (SHO) after he failed to file a FIR within five days in relation to the first information report (FIR) filed following the gun attack in Wazirabad.

He continued by saying that the complainant had the right to name any individual in the FIR, but that the names of those individuals could later be changed as a result of additional research.

As Imran Khan desires Aitzaz Ahsan to join PTI, Ahsan also claimed that mistakes had been made by the Punjab government and police in the Imran Khan shooting case.

“The accused suspect Naveed was clearly reading the script like a parrot,” the PPP leader declared.

I believe that Naveed’s life and the lives of the guy who recorded his confession are in jeopardy.
