Another suspect involved in Chinese dental clinic shooting arrested

On Sunday, the CTD police, with the assistance of an intelligence agency, arrested a second suspect in the high-profile shooting case. This is a significant development in the investigation of a shooting incident at the dental clinic of a Chinese national in Saddar, Karachi.

The CTD claimed to have apprehended a second person involved in the attack on a Chinese dentist’s dental practice in Karachi. According to them, the suspect was apprehended as a consequence of many raids undertaken by the CTD in coordination with a sensitive government agency.

They disclosed that the suspect was an accomplice of the primary suspect, Waqar Kushik, who had been apprehended by the CTD on October 14. After the incident, the suspect allegedly assisted Waqar in fleeing the scene by taking him to safety on his motorcycle.

Four further suspects in the shooting have been apprehended based on the information provided by the primary suspect, Waqar, and with the support of technological assistance.

The authorities are also conducting investigations into the accused’ contacts with the leader and commanders of a criminal organization.

The detectives are conducting forensic examinations on the mobile phones of the suspects and the discovered firearm.

On September 28, a man posing as a patient entered a clinic in a busy business district of Saddar and opened fire indiscriminately on the victims, injuring Dr. Richard Hu and his wife, Phen Teyin, and killing their aide, Ronald Raymond Chou.

Dr. Richard Hu ran this private clinic in Karachi for more than four decades, and the three deceased held dual Chinese and Pakistani citizenship, a police officer informed the media following the attack.

Waqar Kushik, a suspect believed to be affiliated with the Sindh People’s Army, was apprehended during a targeted operation on October 14. The police said that the suspect’s footprint was meticulously investigated and identified with the assistance of intelligence experts and that the suspect’s motorcycle was also found.
