Shashi Tharoor to run for Congress president position

New Delhi: Senior Congress pioneer Shashi Tharoor today gathered the form to run for the post of party president, making him the primary chief to participate in the challenge authoritatively.

A conspicuous individual from the Congress’ G-23 or gathering of 23 pioneers, Mr. Tharoor was quick to proclaim his aim to run for the post that has been with the Gandhis, either Sonia Gandhi or her child Rahul, for more than 20 years.

Mr. Tharoor, who has received her approval to challenge the October 17 political race, has a harder test from Rajasthan Boss Pastor Ashok Gehlot, a firm Gandhi family follower, who is being upheld by those batting for business as usual, and the arrival of Rahul Gandhi at the top post.

Mr. Tharoor’s colleagues from Madhya Pradesh, Kamal Nath, and Manish Tiwari, who, in 2020 alongside Mr. Tharoor had kept in touch with Sonia Gandhi requiring a hierarchical redesign and pinning the party’s descending twisting on an authority float, are likewise answered to be intrigued as well.

This will be the primary political race in more than twenty years with practically no Gandhi as the default decision for the president.

Rahul Gandhi, who is as of now driving the party’s “Bharat Jodo” yatra, has immovably turned down requests by his party individuals, including Mr. Gehlot, to return as president – a post he surrendered after the 2019 general political decision calamity.
