Petrol prices increased by Rs1.45 per litre.

The cost of LSD has decreased by Rs4.26 per liter; however, the cost of HSD has not changed.

According to a statement released by the Finance Ministry, the federal government unexpectedly increased the price of petrol early on Wednesday by Rs1.45, bringing the total for the remaining month of September to Rs237.43 a litre.

It said, “The government has decided to modify the cost of petroleum items in light of shifting global oil prices and exchange rate variance.”

The price of Light Speed Diesel (LSD) has decreased by Rs4.26 per litre as a result of the updated petroleum pricing, and it is now available for Rs197.28 per litre.

High-Speed Diesel (HSD) will continue to cost Rs247.43 a litre, nevertheless.

In addition, the Finance division said that the price of kerosene oil has been reduced by Rs. 8.30 per litre, and will now be sold for Rs. 202.02 per litre.

Petrol prices increased by Rs1.45 per litre.

The letter also stated that the increased pricing would take effect on September 21.
