Islamabad: According to the District health report, the federal capital yet again faces a rather huge dengue issue this time around. An officer from the district health department, Dr. Zaeem Zia, confirms the deaths of 4 people & 128 new cases in the Capital in just the last 24 hours.

This is exceedingly horrifying as it seems to grow in the coming days. The DHO further added that the reported 128 new cases include 53 from urban areas while 75 from rural ones.

Talking about how the federal have been affected overall in this season, around 871 people have been diagnosed so far. Among this huge figure, around 553 cases were from rural areas & 318 from urban.

The district health officer, Dr. Zaeem Zia further reported that around 39 people have been admitted to PIMS Islamabad which is quite alarming. This report refers to a number of people being admitted in just the last 24 hours.

Among other dengue patients included, 3 were admitted to the federal general hospital, 14 to the holy family hospital, 5 to BBH Rawalpindi. 14 in DHQ Rawalpindi, 3 to CDA hospital & 1 was reported from the polyclinic hospital.

These are beyond shocking numbers coming from the federal capital. Other reports according to District Health claim that 55 dengue were reported from private laboratories in the capital city. This report was collected till Sep 13th. On Tuesday alone, the city of Islamabad saw 75 new cases. This sure does give a huge hint that a striking & horrifying disease might be on the cards.
