High electricity bills: PM listens to public grievances

Shehbaz Sharif, the prime minister, has heeded the public’s complaints over high electricity bills.

Islamabad instructed the concerned officials to produce a thorough report with recommendations regarding public complaints about electricity costs as soon as possible in a meeting with officials today.

The prime minister stated that he is accountable to the people and expressed his commitment to resolving public complaints.

Shehbaz Sharif claimed he is still steadfast in his resolve to always be honest with his people.

Power distribution companies (Discos) have asked for an additional fuel cost adjustment (FCA) of Rs. 4.69 per unit for the month of July in addition to a higher base tariff.
