Hamza Shehbaz, leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and son of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, was shocked by the way the election for the position of Punjab chief minister (CM) was conducted.
In an interview with the media in London, Hamza Shehbaz stated that he had never heard the terms “interim chief minister” or “judicial chief minister” before.
He stated that he intended to fight his charges in court. “I hope I don’t disappoint the people of Punjab,” Hamza stated.
He also dispelled the notion that the coalition government at the Center was in jeopardy. “Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan should first clarify his stand on the Election Commission of Pakistan’s (ECP) ruling in the illegal funding issue.”
On landing at London’s Heathrow Airport, Hamza was greeted by his brother Suleman Shehbaz.
