Imran Khan, a former prime minister, confused thousands Pakistani people on Thursday when he brought up Umme Hareem during his speech to PTI demonstrators.
Khan explained why Shehbaz Sharif and Nawaz Sharif’s names were not mentioned in the Financial Times article about the foreign funding for the PTI. Umme Hareem had missed them.
Imran Khan was actually mocking the army for purportedly liking an anti-PTI post by what they claim to be a bogus Twitter account called “Umme Hareem,” whose media branch ISPR.
Khan and his supporters think that Umme Hareem, a social media account that disseminated posts critical of the PTI, was controlled by ISPR.
After Khan’s address, Umme Hareem shot to the top of Twitter’s trending topics.
