RAWALPINDI: During the 249th Corps Commanders’ Conference held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi on Monday, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa conducted an extensive assessment of the security situation with an emphasis on the border and internal security of the nation.
According to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), COAS Gen. Bajwa praised the ongoing, effective counterterrorism operations.
General Bajwa lavishly praised the officers and men who made the ultimate sacrifices necessary to protect the nation’s frontiers and the general populace.
He also recognized the efforts made by humanitarian organizations to lessen the difficulties faced by those affected by the country’s floods and heavy rains.
The forum reaffirmed the resolve of the armed forces to extend complete support to civil administration in rescue or rehabilitation activities.
