The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Saturday admitted to hearing an intra-court appeal filed by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) against the notification of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) members of the Punjab Assembly (MPAs) on five reserved seats.
The petition will be heard by a two-member LHC bench comprised of Justice Abid Aziz Sheikh and Justice Muzzamil Akhtar Shabbir the day after tomorrow (Monday, July 18, 2022).
On July 6, 2022, the ECP issued a notification of PTI MPAs in accordance with the LHC order. There were three seats reserved for women and two for minorities.
