Court grants interim bail to Imran Khan till July 6

Imran Khan, the leader of the PTI and a former prime minister, has experienced great relief after an Islamabad sessions court granted him temporary release on bail until July 6 in connection with 15 cases of vandalism that occurred as a result of his call for a long march on May 25.

The PTI chairman showed up on Friday to take part in the hearing of his bail requests for interim bails in 15 cases that were filed against him over alleged arson and property damage from the PTI long march last month.

Along with his attorney Babar Awan, he appeared in court.

Imran Khan was granted bail in 10 cases filed in the Abpara, I-9, Kohsar, Karachi Company, Golra, Tarnol, and Secretariat police stations by district and sessions judge Kamran Basharat Mufti after hearing the arguments of the attorneys.

In five vandalism cases reported to the police stations in Bahara Kaho, Sahala, Koral, and Loi Bhair, the judges also granted interim bail to the PTI chairman.

In each case, the judge ordered the former premier to provide surety bonds totaling Rs. 5 000. Additionally, he requested from the police a list of all 15 cases and prevented them from detaining Imran.
