Pakistani wrestler Waqas Afzal defeated Indian wrestler Abdullah Younis 2-0 in the World Mas-Wrestling Championship in Russia on Thursday.

A Pakistani delegation of ten is competing in the mas-wrestling championship. Waqas Afzal belongs to an international mas-wrestling federation.

Waqas Afzal and another Pakistani wrestler, Muhammad Saad, reached the championship’s final round.

Waqas Afzal will now face a Russian wrestler, while Muhammad Saad will face a Kyrgyz wrestler.

Participants in this game sit in front of each other, prop their feet against the board that divides the competition area, and tug on a wooden stick (mas), keeping it parallel to the propping board.
