Immigration officers from the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) deputed at Karachi airport on Wednesday and arrested two Iranian citizens traveling to Sharjah on Pakistani passports.
According to Immigration Officer Ijaz Ahmad Khan, the passengers named Ahmad Baloch and Jaseem Baloch were about to board an Air Arabia flight when they encountered an FIA official named Hidayatullah at the immigration counter, who checked their documents and discovered that they were not Pakistanis because their NADRA record did not contain their family history.
“On questioning, they told that they were Iranian citizens. They were later handed over to FIA’s Anti-Human Trafficking Cell,” the immigration officer explained.
