Following Eidul Azha, the Punjab home department banned the collection of animal hides by defunct outfits on Wednesday.
The department requested that no hides be donated to these outfits.
It also made it clear that action would be taken against the outfit found involved in this practice. “And if citizens are interested in giving hides, they can only do so after obtaining a no-objection certificate (NOC) from the concerned commissioner,” the department said.
