The interior ministry has given the green light for the return of former military ruler Pervez Musharraf, who is gravely ill in Dubai.
The interior ministry has also promised to provide security to Pervez Musharraf upon his return to Pakistan, according to official sources.

He said he prayed to Allah Almighty for Pervez Musharraf’s health and added, “If he wants to return home, the government should make it easier for him.”
Former interior minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said Nawaz Sharif’s offer was too late as the Army leadership had already asked General Musharraf to return to Pakistan.
