Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 11 will have five returning ownership groups after Islamabad United officially signed a deal with PCB that will keep the franchise rights with the current owners for the next decade.
The three-time PSL winners have renewed their franchise agreement for the next ten years, cementing their place in the league’s next chapter as PSL expands toward an eight-team structure.
United’s owners were the fifth and final ownership group who chose to extend their tenure at the updated market valuation assessed by global audit giant Ernst & Young.
The renewal marks another major vote of confidence from long-standing partners as the PSL prepares for a new era of commercial growth and structural expansion.

PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi praised United’s role in the league’s rise and commended owner Ali Naqvi for his consistency and professionalism over the past nine seasons.
“Islamabad United will remain part of the HBL PSL family for the next 10 years, and that is a matter of pride for the league,” he said. “Ali Naqvi has shown exemplary commitment. Their decision to renew reflects strong belief in the PSL’s long-term direction and future potential.”
PSL CEO Salman Naseer also highlighted the franchise’s influence on shaping the identity of the league, both through its on-field results and its innovative cricketing culture.
Once again, PCB and PSL did not disclose the new financial numbers of the agreement for now.
