Pakistan cricket team opener Saim Ayub suffered an injury in the second Test match against South Africa, after which he was sent to London for treatment.

The Pakistan Cricket Board has issued an update on Saim Ayub’s injury, which states that the Pakistani opener has been out of cricket for 10 weeks.

According to the report, Saim Ayub suffered an ankle injury against South Africa on January 3. He will be out of cricket for 10 weeks due to the injury.

The PCB says that after Saim Ayub’s MRI scan, X-ray, and medical reports, the doctor has advised 10 weeks of rest. Saim Ayub’s participation in the New Zealand tour will be subject to his fitness.

As Saim Ayub is out of cricket for 10 weeks, he will continue rehab in England as Ayub feels better than before.

The white-ball series between Pakistan and New Zealand will be played from March 16 to April 5.
