Former England cricketer Dawid Malan, who earlier represented Multan Sultans, has officially signed up for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 player draft.

Malan began his PSL journey with Peshawar Zalmi, where he played for three seasons before joining Islamabad United.

Last year, he represented Multan Sultans, who finished as runners-up in PSL 2024.

The 37-year-old has been a prominent figure in the league, having played 25 matches and scored 631 runs at an average of 28.68 and a strike rate of 122.28, including five half-centuries.

For the unversed, Malan is the seventh foreign player to have signed up for the upcoming 10th edition of the marquee league, joining Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza, England’s Tom Curran, David Willey, and Jason Roy; Australia’s Usman Khawaja; and Bangladesh’s Mustafizur Rehman.

It is important to mention that the highly anticipated player draft will be held in Balochistan for the first time, with Gwadar hosting the key event on January 11, 2025.

The pick order for the player draft has also been announced, with two-time champions Lahore Qalandars making the first pick in the opening round of the platinum category, followed by arch-rivals Karachi Kings.

2019 champions Quetta Gladiators will make the third pick, while Peshawar Zalmi will have the fourth.

Last season’s runners-up, the Sultans, and reigning champions United will make the fifth and sixth picks, respectively.

Dawid Johannes Malan Jnr is an English cricketer who plays for Yorkshire in English domestic cricket. He previously played for Middlesex, and has also played in multiple Twenty20 leagues, including for Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League.
