Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant to have surgery in Mumbai
Rishabh Pant, the wicketkeeper for India, will be transported by air ambulance to Mumbai for surgery after suffering injuries in a vehicle accident last week.
At the Max Hospital in Dehradun, Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant to have surgery in Mumbai as he has been receiving medical care.
The 25-year-old cricket player will also undergo “subsequent procedures for ligament tears,” according to the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
Police said Pant’s car flipped over twice and caught fire after he “dozed off” and lost control.
In a statement, BCCI secretary Jay Shah said: “The Board will make every effort to aid and expedite the recovery process of Rishabh and will provide him with all the support he needs during this period.”
In the northern state of Uttarakhand, near to his hometown of Roorkee, Pant crashed on December 30 between Mangalaur and Nursan.
According to reports in India, the Delhi Capitals player was hurt in his head, back, and leg.

Unsettling video from Uttarakhand showed a Mercedes-AMG GLE43 Coupe slamming into a wall at a high rate of speed. After the collision at Roorkee, his automobile took fire, forcing him to flee by shattering the windscreen.
According to a formal declaration, the cricketer sustained cuts to his forehead, a ligament tear in his knee, and numerous more wounds to his wrist, legs, and back.
His condition is not critical, and has been referred to Max Hospital in Dehradun.
When the tragedy happened, Mr. Pant was travelling from Delhi to his home in Roorkee to surprise his mother and spend the New Year with his family.
According to authorities, the cricketer claimed that he fell asleep while driving and lost control of the vehicle.
The T20I team for the forthcoming series against Sri Lanka was recently dropped out Mr. Pant.
