Ronaldo banned for 2 matches over fan’s phone incident.

Cristiano Ronaldo, a former forward for Manchester United, has been suspended for two domestic games after he accidentally knocked a phone out of an Everton supporter’s hand.

After losing at Goodison Park in April, the 37-year-old looked to strike the phone as he descended into the tunnel.

Ronaldo was also hit with a £50,000 punishment by the Football Association for criticizing manager Erik ten Hag on Tuesday before leaving United by mutual consent.

His World Cup’s participation will not be impacted by the suspension.

He will lead Portugal against Ghana in their opening Group H matchup on Thursday.

Although it does not apply at the continental club level, such as the Champions League, Ronaldo will serve the suspension with any new team, whether they are in England or elsewhere.

He was found guilty of improper and violent conduct at an independent FA hearing.

Police issued a warning to him in August, and soon after the event, he apologized to the young admirer.

According to the FA, Ronaldo admitted the accusation of improper behavior but not violent conduct.

His second stint at Old Trafford came to an end after a contentious interview in which he berated United and declared that he had “no respect” for Ten Hag.
