France captain Hugo Lloris promotes respect for Qatar
Prior to the 2022 FIFA World Cup, France’s captain Hugo Lloris encouraged respect for the Qatari government during a press conference in Claire Fontaine.
Before the tournament’s opening on November 20 at the Al Bayt Stadium, when hosts Qatar face Ecuador, the French team is scheduled to arrive in Doha on Wednesday.
Before his team’s departure for Doha, Lloris said: “Quite simply, I will do the same when I go to Qatar. When we are in France, when we welcome foreigners, we often want them to follow our rules and respect our culture.”
On November 22, the Didier Deschamps team will face the Socceroos at the Al Janoub Stadium to begin their bid for consecutive World Cups.
