Global markets now open to Pakistani football clubs
Football clubs, academies, and teams have received FIFA IDs, a universal ID recognized by FIFA MAs, for the first time in Pakistan’s history. Starting on Saturday, those who have already registered will start getting emails that activate their accounts and provide them access to finish the registration process by providing their club, team, and player information. To hold free and fair elections, this is a necessary first step.
The chairman of the Normalization Committee, Haroon Malik, spoke at a press conference at Pakistan Football Headquarters in Lahore alongside NC member Saud Hashmi. He said, “When the series of data compilation of clubs, academies, coaches, and officials were started through the Pakistan Football Connect programme, it got a great response. Through information obtained from the special office created in Karachi, thousands of stakeholders submitted applications. Clubs will have access to the ID portal starting on Saturday when the data has been verified, and those who register will be recognized both locally and internationally in Pakistan’s organized football system.”
As he moved fast toward the PFF elections in accordance with its mission, he continued, “I am delighted that the Normalization Committee received the opportunity to take this historic step in its tenure. This will help make the process transparent since clubs are registered based on merit.
“With the registration of more than 3,500 clubs, the world will have an understanding of the popularity and actual structure of football in Pakistan,” Saud Hashmi remarked when expressing his opinions. Anywhere in the world has access to the clubs’ data, not only in Pakistan.
“Pakistan Football Connect Program is a real revolution to promote the Club Culture in Pakistan,” remarked Shahid Khokhar, Member NC, at the event. No initiative, he claimed, can be effective without transparent record-keeping, regardless of the field. Nothing will be left unclear after the Pakistan Football Connect Programme is finished, and the project will have significant repercussions for Pakistan Football.
