According to Novak Djokovic, he won’t be able to go to New York for the US Open, which gets underway on Monday.
Djokovic was forced to leave the country due to his Covid-19 immunisation status, hence he was unable to defend his Australian Open crown in January.
The United States has prohibited non-immunized travellers from October 2021.
Djokovic had intended to participate, but he announced on Twitter on Thursday that he would be unable to make the trip to New York City for the US Open.
