Shoaib Akhar, a former cricketer for Pakistan who played in Test matches, thanked his fans for their prayers when he was undergoing knee surgery in Australia. The great fast bowler also confessed that it was absolutely worth the discomfort to play for Pakistan despite his knee injury.
In a video that was released on his official Twitter account, Akhtar, who is well known as the “Rawalpindi Express” for his ferocious speed, offered a message for his followers from the hospital bed where he was recovering after a partial knee replacement operation.
In the video, he is heard saying, “Again, I want to say this even in this state that it was all worth it playing for Pakistan, Really worth it.” “It was totally worth it,” he said.
He continued by saying, “If I had to go through all of this anguish again for Pakistan, I would love to do it, and I won’t hesitate even for a second.”
