During a football match in Manchester, a jet carrying a “Free Kashmir, 2,500 days occupied” banner was sighted, surprising and amusing onlookers.
The event occurred during a match between Crystal Palace and Manchester United at Old Trafford, a football stadium in Trafford, Greater Manchester, England.
It’s still unclear who flew the plane or why it was carrying the banner on Sunday.
This isn’t the first time something like this has happened.
An aircraft carrying a banner saying “Justice for Kashmir” flew over the Headingley Cricket Ground in Leeds, England, during the 2019 Cricket World Cup match between India and Sri Lanka.
Local authorities declared the Old Trafford stadium, which was to host India’s semifinal match versus New Zealand, a “No Fly Zone” following the incident, according to the Indian Express.
