Elon Musk stated in a post that Twitter will “stop switching you back to recommended tweets” if users don’t like the new timeline. Users who favoured a reverse-chronological “Following” timeline opposed the algorithmic version of the programme.
Twitter to stop users to view ‘For You’ timeline. Previously, Twitter featured a button just last month that allowed users to choose which timeline version they preferred to use. But when the new timeline was made the platform’s default and upgraded, the choice was eliminated.
The “For You” and “Following” tabs, as well as pinned lists, will soon be able to be arranged by users in their own unique order on the top bar, Musk further pledged in his tweet.
