As part of their efforts to educate children, teachers, and parents about digital safety, TikTok has teamed with Zindagi Trust to offer a series of seminars throughout their network of public schools.
About 3,000 children, teachers, and parents will learn about safe internet use, with an emphasis on social media, according to a statement released by the partners.
It stated that a different training for parents and teachers would be held in an effort to inform them of the best ways to safeguard children’s online safety.
The statement claims that young internet users in grades 7 through 9 will learn about internet use best practises as well as how to develop into responsible digital citizens and foster a secure online community throughout the country.

A variety of subjects, including handling online safety concerns like cyberbullying, catfishing, and misleading information, will be covered in the sessions. There will be in-depth sessions on the negative behaviours that are common on social media, the best methods to provide relevant information, how to spot false news and disinformation, and the reporting processes for illegal and harmful social media material.
According to the statement, another goal of the seminars is to educate parents and teachers on how to utilise TikTok’s safety features to keep their kids safe online. They will be instructed on how to use TikTok’s family pairing features, which let parents connect their accounts to those of their teenagers and configure parental restrictions including direct messaging, limited mode, and screen time monitoring.
“These sessions are another step in the right path for ensuring our TikTok community in Pakistan is digitally secure,” said Farah Tukan, director of government relations and public affairs for TikTok in the Middle East, Turkey, Africa, and Pakistan (METAP). As we continue to create rules and procedures to proactively detect and block any effort to publish improper information on our platform, we are totally dedicated to protecting the safety of Pakistan’s online community.
Faiq Ahmed, senior marketing and resource development manager at Zindagi Trust, said that it is time to educate the younger generation about digital safety so they can navigate the risks to their privacy and safety online.
