Apple warns of insecurity that allows hackers access to iPhones and Macs.
Apple has issued a warning about the insecurity that allows hackers to seize control of iPhones, iPads, and Mac computers, and is urging users to install critical software updates.
The tech giant released patches on Thursday and Wednesday to address a vulnerability that hackers were already aware of and maybe exploiting.
“Apple is aware of a report that this vulnerability may have been exploited actively,” the Silicon Valley company said.
Apple did not disclose whether it had information on the scope of the vulnerability’s exploitation.
According to the technical description, a hacker could exploit the vulnerability to seize control of devices and gain access to any of their data or capabilities.
Apple released patches for iPhones, iPads, and Mac computers running vulnerable operating systems.
In contrast, Apple is likely to host the iPhone 14 event during the first or second week of September. The next iPhones are anticipated to be introduced by the company on either September 6 or September 13. However, the company has not yet announced an official release date for the iPhone 14. Apple is expected to release four devices, including the iPhone 14, the iPhone 14 Max, the iPhone 14 Pro, and the iPhone 14 Pro Max.
The iPhone 14 is rumoured to have a similar design to the iPhone 13 series, with only the Pro models rumoured to receive a major redesign. Therefore, you may not see the punch-hole display design found on most Android phones. The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max are anticipated to feature a wide notch design on the front and the same dual rear camera configuration. The Pro models are anticipated to feature a punch-hole display. As with last year’s iPhones, all iPhone 14 models will likely feature a glass-backed design with aluminium frames.
According to rumours, the standard model will feature a 6.1-inch OLED display. This one is expected to have a screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, as opposed to the iPhone 13’s 60Hz display. The iPhone 14 is anticipated to have flat sides, similar to other iPhones. The device is anticipated to support increased peak brightness for enhanced outdoor viewing. The iPhone 14 Pro models could feature a 6.7-inch display with 120Hz refresh rate support. The Pro variants are rumoured to include LTPO technology, which allows the device to automatically adjust the refresh rate between 1Hz and 120Hz based on the content.
